The anthropological community will miss Rene Victor Agbayani, one of the fatalities in the Cebu Pacific air disaster last February 02.
The title of a concert held in his memory, "A Celebration of Life", illustrates how many members of UGAT (one of the concert's organizers) will best remember him.

Our brother Rene in their cottage in Bukidnon -- when he worked briefly with the Central Mindanao University (CMU). With him in this photo are his two older daughters Irene Justine (Yenyen), and Astrid Serena (Nina). Yenyen also majored in Anthropology, while Nina joined the production team of UP Repertory while taking up Film -- both of them at UP Diliman. Rene's youngest daughter, Frances (Kikay) -- who was born in 1997 -- was only three months old when Rene passed on, but it seems it is she who took after him; she is now a dancer (although I must say that Rene had two left feet). This photo was taken by Rene's wife Amelia (Amie), most likely, in 1992. -- from Susan Claire Agbayani, 22 June 2016
